BRIEF HISTORY:
Sri Venkata Krishna Educational Society was established
in 1982(Regn.No.150/82 Dated 17-4-1982) Registered at
Eluru, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh., and
also registered U/S 6(1)(a) of Foreign Contribution
Act, 1976 as Regtn.No.010180170., Vide Lr.No.II/221022/61(134)/2003
FCRA-III. Dated 3-9-2003 of the Ministry of Home Affairs,
Govt of India. The Chief Pattrons being Sri Chitturi
Kesava Rao, Sri Chitturi Subba Rao and Sri Chitturi
Atchuta Rama Prasad , Sons of Late Sri Chitturi Venkata
Krishna Rao. The Society Started a Degree College at
Under Graduate Level and a Junior College at Intermediate
Level in the name of Smt Kondepati Sarojini Devi Mahila
Kalasala in 1982. The Third College named S.D. College
of Information Technology was started offering Master
of Computer Application Course in the year 2001. MBA
was introduced as an additional course during the academic
year 2007-08.
OBJECTIVES:
The Society was established with the sole vision of Promoting Education-Giving Priority to women Education of this Region. Social Service through Education is the objective of the society. The main objectives of the society (a) To Establish and maintain Educational and other Institutions to impart Instruction in Arts, Science, Technology or any other Subject for diffusion of useful knowledge. (b) To do all or any of the above things or matters either alone or in conjunction with others either by or through or servants, employees or otherwise. (c) To find out ways and means for solving unemployment problem by attaining the above objects.
VALUE BASED EDUCATION:
The Vision is to provide value based Education, not mere technical Expertise. To meet this end regular Vipasana Camps are being Conducted in the college Campus. In the present day contest of open society and changing needs even in the field of education the society aimed at providing education in the areas of need. After starting colleges in the area of General Education the society moved to the area of technical/professional education.
INFRASTRUCTURE:
The Society Constructed Permanent buildings for the colleges run by it in Acres 13.50 of land situated in the outskirts of Tanuku Town and provided all infrastructure facilities.
