True to its name and fame the college holds its uniqueness in both infrastructural and buzzing tournaments conducted right through the entire year.
You name it – we have it! Well provided equipment gives ample opportunities and motivation to the sport loving students. Provided indoors are 2 T.T Boards, Chess Boards and Carroms etc., Palatial grounds in the campus give the right ambience for the out door games like Basket Ball, Hand Ball, Ball Badminton, Kho-Kho, Tenni-coit and Khabbdi.
Warm up’s are done in the early hours and games and sports are conducted between 4-00 P.M. to 6.00 P.M.
Talents are identified and special coaching is given to students to excel in events.
Every year students participate in the “Andhra University Ladies Inter College Games and Sports Meet”. The College is honoured in sending sports students right from ‘District’ to ‘State’ so as to rise in to the National Levels and a distinctive mark is 47 students represented the Andhra University at ‘All India Inter University Tournaments’.
The College had the privilege to be hosts of “Andhra University Ladies Inter College Games Sport Meet” in the academic years – 1996-97, 1997-98, and 2001-2002.
Every year different team selections are done at the campus to represent the Andhra University.
“The Super Power girl” – Ch.V.S.N.L Renuka was the recipient of a good number of medals.
The most outstanding performance was when she won 4 gold medals in “The Asian Power Lifting Championship” in 2002 held at Korea (Bench Press New Asian Record). Also some of her best performance included are – The Gold Medal in the “All India Inter University of 132.5 kgs wt in squat, 65 kgs wt in Bench press, 142.5 kgs wt in Dead lift. The total wt lift was 340 kgs. She was awarded the strongest women title in power lifting championship at kolkatta on 22nd January, 2003.
