Our Founder
Sri Chitturi Subba Rao, the visionary Founder of the Sri Venkata Krishna Educational Society, was born in Tanuku. In cherished memory of his beloved sister, Late Smt. Kondepati Sarojini Devi, he established S.K.S.D. Mahila Junior College, Degree College, and P.G. College in the year 1982. Later, he expanded the institution by establishing Information Technology and D.Ed. colleges along with hostel facilities, with the noble objective of promoting professional education for rural and tribal students..
Driven by a strong commitment towards women’s empowerment and quality education, Sri Chitturi Subba Rao consistently focused on providing career guidance and creating employment opportunities for students. He initiated seminars, workshops, and personality development programs in collaboration with renowned organizations such as the Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence and spiritual leaders like Jaggi Vasudev. To ensure the holistic development of students, he also organized Vipassana Meditation and Yoga camps, encouraging physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
A strong advocate of sports and physical education, Sri Chitturi Subba Rao established a Sports Hostel and constructed the prestigious Sri Chitturi Subba Rao Satya Usha Rani Indoor Stadium, equipped with international-standard badminton courts. He further promoted sports excellence by launching a Badminton Academy in collaboration with Padma Shri Pullela Gopichand, one of India’s most celebrated badminton coaches.
His altruistic and philanthropic spirit is reflected through various social service initiatives, including Swachh Bharat programs, large-scale plantation drives, and disaster relief activities conducted through NSS, NCC, and the Chitturi Humanitarian Foundation. His dedication towards social welfare and nation-building has inspired countless students and citizens alike.
In loving memory of his mother, Smt. Akkayamma, he generously donated substantial funds to Sandhya Jyothi, a home for the aged. He is also the Founder President of Fight Against Corruption Today (FACT), an organization committed to promoting integrity and social responsibility.
Sri Chitturi Subba Rao has served in several prestigious leadership positions, including President of the Farmers’ Association, President of the West Godavari Badminton Association, Managing Director of Nirman Ltd., Hyderabad, and Director of NCL Industries Ltd., Hyderabad. At present, he serves as the Managing Director of Sri Balabalajee Textiles, Tanuku, Vice Chairman of the A.P. Spinning Mills Association, and Member of the Cotton Yarn Advisory Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
Through his visionary leadership, dedication to education, social service, and sports development, Sri Chitturi Subba Rao continues to leave a lasting legacy in the fields of education, philanthropy, and community welfare.
